Leonard Carder represents the boat crews workers on the Catalina Express ferries between Long Beach and Catalina Island – Captains, Second Operators, Deckhand and Cabin Attendants. In this proposed class action, our clients allege that Catalina Express’ minimal staffing levels and employee scheduling practices lead to these employees staying on-duty at all times, depriving the crew of off-duty meal and rest periods. The case is on file in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
