Mr. Rukeyser represents public and private sector labor unions in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration. In addition to labor and employment litigation, his specialties also include defending the exercise of free speech rights. He also advises international and local unions on all manner of organizing, collective bargaining, and contract enforcement matters. Prior to joining Leonard Carder in 2006, Mr. Rukeyser worked at a union-side law firm in Los Angeles. He is a 2004 graduate of the U.C. Davis School of Law (Order of the Coif). While in law school, he served as Senior Articles Editor for the U.C. Davis Law Review. In an earlier life to which he returns in his spare time, Mr. Rukeyser studied labor, economic, and social history, receiving his B.A. from U.C. Santa Cruz and an M.A. from the University of Chicago.
