October 2004:  Locked Out Hotel Workers Win Unemployment Case

 

  When the SF Multi-Employer Group of hotels (MEG) locked out their employees, MEG tried to deny the locked out employees unemployment, claiming that the lockout was merely defensive. Leonard Carder partner Beth Ross demonstrated the flaws in this argument, and employees won unemployment in October 2004, a victory which ultimately helped to end the lockout.
